"Broadstone’s workplace saving team helps an impressive array of clients create long-term financial security for their employees. The Group has strong foundations for growth. "
- Damon Hopkins, Broadstone head of DC workplace savings

Specialising in independent pensions, employee benefits, and investment consultancy, Broadstone currently has an experienced executive committee which Brett Hill and Damon Hopkins will join as head of health & protection and head of defined contribution (DC) workplace savings respectively.

Through these roles, Hill and Hopkins will also replace Paul McGuckin as Employee Benefits division leads.

McGuckin is set to take on a new role, managing Broadstone’s partnership with third parties, especially the Assurex Global network. With 600 Partner offices worldwide, Assurex Global is the world’s largest privately held commercial insurance, risk management, and employee benefits broker network, giving significant leverage to Broadstone as its exclusive employee benefits partner in the UK.

Hill and Hopkins’ joint leadership comes into play as Broadstone readies itself for the next stage of growth in employee benefits, helping organisations with a range of services from pension consulting to group life insurance, risk benefits, and healthcare plans.

Prior to Broadstone, Brett Hill was in post as head of health & protection distribution at Towergate. He comes to Broadstone with over 25 years of experience helping clients improve the health, wellbeing, and protection of themselves, their businesses, and employees.

Damon Hopkins has nearly 20 years in the pensions industry, the last fourteen of which he specialised in DC. He joins Broadstone from Aon’s DC consulting team where he held a multifaceted leadership role.

Commenting on these appointments, Tony Gusmao, Broadstone chief executive, has said:

“Brett and Damon bring a wealth of employee benefits experience to the team. In Broadstone, they are joining a business with a vibrant history of over 40 years with the combined expertise of over 500 consultants and administrators, and ambitious plans for the future.”
