"Help@hand is supporting more people to take charge of their complete health, leading to a healthier, happier and more resilient workforce."
- John Hyde, Chief Marketing Officer at Unum UK
In the last twelve months, Unum has experienced a 91% increase in the number of registrations for Help@hand compared to the previous year. Within the same period, Help@hand saw a 266% rise in user interactions within the app. Notably, 53% of these interactions were with practical life management services.
Since July 2023, 138,243 consultations have been booked via the Help@hand app. 42% of those sessions were remote GP appointments whilst 40% were related to mental health. User feedback revealed that 93% of those surveyed agreed that the GP they saw via Help@hand dealt with their concerns on the day; nine out of ten said they’d recommend the app to a colleague or family member.
John Hyde, Chief Marketing Officer at Unum UK, explained “We’re approaching a milestone, celebrating five years of Help@hand giving employees fast, direct access to our complete health services.”
He said: “We’ve seen employee engagement rise significantly in the past year, but interestingly over half of these interactions with the app were for other valued non-medical services, such as getting practical support through the 24/7 helpline.
“Interestingly, we are also seeing a significant number of employees using the app to take a proactive and preventative approach to health and wellbeing, with more than 8,500 users seeking out lifestyle, nutrition or personal training sessions. We look forward to building on its success, expanding the service and delivering even better care for our clients and their employees,” John concluded.
