Laura Hancock has been a BIBA board member since 2017 and deputy chair for the last three years. Since the announcement of her succession, Hancock has said that she is “very proud” of what the trade body has achieved over the last five years and “couldn’t be more pleased to have been a key part of it.”
Former BIBA Young Broker of the Year, Jane Kielty has been on the board since 2020 as chair of the insurance brokers’ standards committee. She will now take on the role of BIBA deputy chair, effective from the New Year.
Commenting on the succession Steve White, BIBA chief executive, has said:
“Laura has made a fantastic contribution in her five years on the board, and I am most grateful to her for all her support. This is farewell, not goodbye, as she will continue to work closely with us as one of our member scheme providers.”
Jane Kielty added:
“I was honoured to be asked to take up the position of deputy chair. I am as passionate as I ever was about insurance broking, and I hope in my new role I can continue to make a difference to BIBA members.
“Laura is a tough act to follow, but I am looking forward to the challenge.”
