"This partnership represents a shared commitment to making a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer."
- Claire Taylor, Chief Nursing Officer at Macmillan Cancer Support

This partnership is the latest development in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ongoing work to improve cancer-related support while revolutionising cancer care for future diagnoses. Macmillan has been committed to delivering ‘betterness’ in cancer care since 1911.

“Cancer survivorship presents unique challenges, and we must innovate to meet the growing needs of people living with (and beyond) cancer. Perci Health’s holistic, multidisciplinary approach is exactly the exciting innovation that’s needed, and it aligns perfectly with MacMillan’s ambitions to help more people get the personalised care they need,” explained Claire Taylor, Chief Nursing Officer at Macmillan Cancer Support.

Perci Health has spent the last five years developing its virtual cancer clinic which combines digital innovation and ‘caring science’ to improve outcomes for people impacted by cancer through partnerships with employers and insurers.

With this investment, Perci Health plans to expand its services with the intention to eventually extend the reach of its virtual clinic model by working in partnership with statutory health systems across the UK.

“Our collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support marks an exciting milestone in cancer care and innovation. It’s an opportunity to scale our current model and address the critical gaps that exist in support. By working together, we can empower more individuals to live well with cancer, while demonstrating the measurable value of personalised, multidisciplinary care,” said Kelly McCabe, Co-Founder & CEO of Perci Health.

Morgan Fitzsimons, Co-Founder & Chief Customer Officer at Perci Health, added: “Leveraging technology is at the heart of our mission to transform cancer care. By integrating digital innovation with multidisciplinary support, Perci Health helps increase access to personalised care. This partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support highlights our shared vision for using technology to bridge gaps in care and improve outcomes nationwide.”

Reacting to this announcement, Vanessa Sallows, Claims & Governance Director for Group Protection at Legal & General (L&G) Retail, said, “Our partnership with Perci Health is designed to ensure that individuals diagnosed with cancer receive the right support at the right time, helping them manage their health and, where possible, return to work.

“By integrating specialist, personalised care using the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach, into our protection offerings, we’re not only improving outcomes for our members and providing holistic support but also addressing the wider impact of cancer on workplaces and society,” she concluded.
