Prior to this appointment, Fiona Wynn served as Head of Products & Retail Protection at Legal & General. In the past, she’s also worked as Client Manager, Vice President at Swiss Re. Mark Preston joins Royal London from Aegon UK, where he supported its individual protection business which will transfer to Royal London later this year. Over the years, Mark has built up specialist knowledge of medical and financial underwriting which he’s utilised to develop market-leading underwriting propositions.

These appointments have been made to ensure the mutual continues to enhance its overall proposition, including its high net worth offering.

Carrie Johnson, Protection Director at Royal London, said both Mark and Fiona are “well-known and well-regarded in the protection industry […] excellent additions to our talented team.” She said Royal London has a clear ambition to strengthen its position in the market and “we welcome them both onboard to help shape the future development of our value proposition.”
