"As we approach the first anniversary of the Consumer Duty, we’re seeing the demand for protection advice and products continue to grow as it becomes more and more an integral part of the advice process."
- Siobhan Barrow, Distribution Director for the UK at Royal London
Royal London joins Aviva, Guardian Financial Services (Guardian), Legal & General (L&G), LV, The Exeter, Vitality, and Zurich Insurance, with MetLife for Accident & Children’s plans. These providers all performed well in Openwork’s panel review (conducted every five years), retaining their position on the panel.
Openwork said Royal London has been carefully selected for its “profile and reputation for delivering high-quality protection solutions to customers.” Paul Shearman, Mortgage & Protection Proposition Director at Openwork, praised Royal London as a “great brand with an impressive protection proposition, making the already strong panel even more compelling, and adding important solutions to the diverse needs of the market.
“Royal London boasts innovative technology, backed by strong expertise in the space of high-net-worth individuals, wealth and business protection, all of which are areas Openwork is keen to enhance and progress. Royal London was the one player our advisers regularly requested, so I know their addition will be hugely well received,” he said.
Siobhan Barrow, Distribution Director for the UK at Royal London, added: “We’re very happy to join Openwork’s protection panel, and our team are looking forward to helping the advisers offer a range of personal and business protection solutions best suited to their customers’ needs.”
