Zurich Corporate Risk has introduced enhancements to its Group Critical Illness (GCI) product, a year after its initial launch. The updates aim to provide clearer coverage definitions while ensuring the product remains competitive in the market.
The key changes include:
Multiple claims can now be made for spouses, partners, and children. Previously, cover ended after a single claim.
Claims for Pulmonary Artery Graft Surgery and Structural Heart Surgery are now accepted for customers on NHS waiting lists.
Definitions for several critical illness conditions have been updated, offering greater clarity and reflecting current medical practices.
Nick Homer, head of market management for Zurich Corporate Risk, commented on the updates: “We are absolutely delighted with the significant success we have enjoyed since launching our group critical illness proposition a year ago, and are extremely grateful to our intermediary partners and customers for the trust they have shown in us."
"We are committed to ensuring that our GCI offering is second to none, and these enhancements reflect our desire to respond to evolving needs and the changing clinical environment.”
Homer added that the changes aim to make the product easier to understand and more relevant to modern medical approaches, highlighting Zurich’s focus on responding to customer and market needs.
