"We now have 17 household and 9 buy to let products available online, or via our contact centre we have a total of 56 household products available."

The first new product, Axa Advanced, is a defaqto 5 star rated buildings and contents policy aimed at the Mid Net Worth market. The new product sits alongside their existing standard and MNW products, and brings Berkeley Alexander’s online household panel to 17 products from 8 insurers.

Most standard policies will cover up to between £50k to £75k of contents, whereas the new Advanced product will cover up to £150,000. Amounts over this limit could be covered by BA’s HNW panel, including Hiscox, Dual, Aviva and Sterling.

The second product is AXA Residential Let which offers a core policy for landlords looking to insure their residential buy-to-let properties, and brings BA’s online Landlords panel to 9 products from 6 insurers.

Both new products are now live and available on BA’s online quote and buy product sourcing system.

Geoff Hall, Managing Director of Berkeley Alexander, said: “I genuinely believe that no-one else provides mortgage brokers and IFAs with access to as wide a range of insurance policies as BA, whether it be standard & non-standard home insurance, mid & high net worth, landlords products, or the full range of commercial. We now have 17 household and 9 buy to let products available online, or via our contact centre we have a total of 56 household products available. With this extensive range of products, and choice as to how brokers can choose to interact with us, we really do think that we have an irresistible proposition.”
