"We felt the time was right, as it wouldn’t have made business sense to manage both entities under separate brands as time progressed."
Julie Gibbons, AbbeyAutoline managing director, branded the decision as “very much the natural progression for BMG Insurance” as it begins to fully integrate with the company.
Family business BMG Insurance, which came under AbbeyAutoline ownership earlier this year, will be rebranding later this month.
“We felt the time was right, as it wouldn’t have made business sense to manage both entities under separate brands as time progressed,” said Gibbons, “and with a focus on our customers and staff, we felt this would help make day-to-day operations a lot easier for everyone.”
She went on to note that a lot of work has already happened behind the scenes to ensure it is a “seamless transition,” and guarantee the merge won’t impact any current policies.
The announced rebrand will impact both the exterior and interior branding at the BMG Insurance branches in Portadown and Newtownbulter.
Meanwhile, aside from taking on the AbbeyAutoline identity, the Northern Irish company will be adopting its parent’s extended operational hours. Phone lines will now be open Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, plus 9am-3pm on Saturdays.
