"We look forward to collaborating with the ABI and its members to shape the future of the insurance industry."
- Paul Jewell, CEO of Bridgehaven
Bridgehaven Specialty UK (Bridgehaven) has joined the Association of British Insurers’ (ABI) membership. The hybrid insurer empowers managing general agents (MGAs) with long-term capacity while supporting reinsurers in achieving greater diversification.
Representing over 300 member firms, the ABI work closely with UK government, regulators, consumer organisations and NGOs to promote the value and importance of the sector.
“Becoming an ABI member marks an important milestone in our journey, and we see this as an opportunity to further cement our reputation in the market as an insurer promoting high value products and practices. We look forward to collaborating with the ABI and its members to shape the future of the insurance industry,” said Paul Jewell, CEO of Bridgehaven.
Sheryl Fernando, director of membership & commercial development at the ABI, added: “Bridgehaven’s innovative hybrid model and commitment to long-term partnerships with MGAs and reinsurers reflect the evolving nature of our industry.
“We welcome the expertise and perspective their European expansion will bring to the UK’s insurance industry – a sector that not only underpins economic resilience but also plays a vital role in driving investment, innovation, and sustainable growth across the UK economy.”
Earlier this month, the ABI announced the addition of Fortegra Insurance UK to its membership. Since entering the UK and European markets in 2018, the global specialty insurer has established a reputation for collaboration and innovation.
