"We’re pleased to strengthen our proposition with these extra services."
- Stuart Tragheim, CEO of Holloway Friendly

Earlier this week, Holloway Friendly joined Sesame Network and PMS Mortgage Club, part of Sesame Bankhall Group (SBG), protection panels. Hollway Friendly is highly regarded for its clear and flexible ‘My Sick Pay’ offering which makes them “exactly the kind of provider we want to work with in the current market,” said Stephanie Charman, Group Partnerships & Propositions Director at SBG.

Now, Hollway Friendly has invested in its value-added service offering, with the addition of unlimited GP consultations and a free second opinion service. Provided by HealthHero, customers will have access to 24/7 GP via video or phone call. These GPs have experience working with the NHS and will be able to provide prescriptions, referrals, and fit notes. These services are also accessible to customers’ families, including partners and children under the age of eighteen who live at home.

The second opinion service is provided by Healix, offered when customers have been treated by a consultant who has completed their investigations and is unable to explain their condition. This service will provide a medical expert from a clinical network to review a patient’s medical records. Initially, this service will be free for new business cases, to eventually roll out to all customers.

Martin Sincup, Head of Marketing and Proposition at Holloway Friendly, said “We know that diagnosis and treatment of more serious conditions can be stressful or sometimes confusing,” so a second medical opinion can be valuable to either reassure someone or encourage them to look at alternative courses of treatment.

Stuart Tragheim, CEO of Holloway Friendly, agreed that we all know how valuable protection can be, “but tangible extras, that people can use before they claim, make the sale much easier for advisers.”
