"We feel this area gets far less attention than established areas such as mental health or cancer support."
- Stephanie Leung - KareHero
KareHero has become the latest member of GRiD, the industry body for the group risk sector, bringing a focus on what it calls the growing adult care gap.
The wellbeing and intervention service provider offers advice and practical support to individuals and families navigating adult care, including finding suitable care, accessing funding and managing legal arrangements.
It partners with employers, insurers and financial advisers to offer these services as an employee benefit or added-value service, helping people manage their own care needs or those of a loved one.
"We are looking forward to being an active member of GRiD, helping to raise awareness of group risk benefits and shape the policy agenda on care support," Stephanie Leung, founder & CEO of KareHero, said.

"We feel this area gets far less attention than established areas such as mental health or cancer support, despite unpaid carers being forced out of work or unable to work costing the UK £37bn in lost output, and the UK workforce now looking after more adult dependants than children."
Colin Fitzgerald, chair of GRiD, added: "It's great timing for KareHero to join GRiD, with social care reform firmly back on the political agenda.
"Their voice will be vital in helping us champion the type of practical, everyday support that our members offer over and above financial payouts, helping to keep more people in work and supporting their return to work during periods of extended caregiving."
