New customers can now access their documents by logging in through the customer website, unless they choose to opt out when taking out their policy, whilst existing customers will be invited to register to go paperless as their insurance comes up for renewal. Paymentshield is encouraging advisers to promote the benefits of receiving policy documents online to their customers.
Jon Bowen, chief operating officer at Paymentshield, said:
“Aside from its obvious ‘green’ benefits, we believe the introduction of paperless systems will help us to deliver the best possible customer service. Customers will have the freedom to quickly and easily access their documents online taking away the burden of paperwork and resulting in a more seamless solution.”
Going paperless comes as part of a wider programme by Paymentshield aimed at optimising the experience of customers and advisers. Paymentshield recently launched the Introducer scheme, which aims to offer advisers the means to support their clients with the purchase of GI, with advisers being able to digitally refer clients to Paymentshield via a dedicated online portal.
Jon added:
“This new digital focus will help us to stay at the top of the market by keeping up to date with ever-changing customer demands. Going paperless will streamline the process of receiving policy documents for customers, as well as strengthen adviser conversations about Paymentshield general insurance.”
