Virtual cancer clinic Perci Health has announced the appointment of Katie Crook-Davies as director of strategic accounts, expanding its leadership team as it aims to continue to scale partnerships across the insurance and employer health markets.

Katie brings over 15 years’ experience across the UK protection industry, from pricing and underwriting through to proposition development and distribution. She is a qualified life actuary with experience at Swiss Re, Vitality, supporting various health techs, and most recently founding her own insurtech business. Katie also co-chaired the Income Protection Task Force from 2021 until 2023.

In her new role, Katie will lead Perci Health’s strategic account development, working closely with insurers, intermediaries, and employer partners to expand access to Perci’s end-to-end cancer care services and further embed its outcomes-based model across the market.

Katie’s appointment comes as longstanding relationships with Healix Health and L&G, as well as recent partnerships with Canada Life and Westfield Health, now mean that more than 3 million people can access Perci's cancer care and early detection services across both the protection and health cash plan markets.

Perci Health claims that, with cancer now one of the leading drivers of long-term illness and protection claims in the UK, it is working with insurers and employers to shift the focus from reactive care to proactive, data-driven support.

"I’m delighted to be joining Perci Health at such a pivotal point in its journey," Katie Crook-Davies said. "As cancer incidence continues to rise and survival rates improve, more people are living with and beyond cancer, creating a clear need to look beyond traditional insurance models.

"Perci Health’s approach recognises cancer as a complex, long-term condition that requires specialist, ongoing support. I’m excited to work with existing and new partners to help evolve propositions that better meet the needs of customers, supporting not just financial resilience, but real-world health and recovery outcomes."

Morgan Fitzsimons, co-founder and CCO of Perci Health, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Katie to Perci Health. She brings a rare combination of actuarial expertise, strategic insight, and a deep understanding of the protection landscape.

"As cancer increasingly becomes a long-term condition, insurers and employers are recognising the need to go beyond traditional models and deliver more meaningful, ongoing support to their members. Katie’s experience and perspective will be instrumental in helping us scale our partnerships and continue to redefine what great cancer care looks like across the industry."
