"With support at the right time, a patient can feel able to live the best they can with their illness, which is the positive outcome employers and insurers should be striving for."
- Christine Husbands, commercial director at RedArc

According to recent patient data (comparing 2023 & 2024), RedArc has experienced a 75% year-on-year increase in demand for Parkinson’s-related support, followed by arthritis (33%), fibromyalgia (22%), and multiple sclerosis (11%).

RedArc puts this demand down to growing awareness of added-value services available via protection policies or employee benefits. Therefore, RedArc has asked insurers and employers to go further in offering and communicating this type of support.

Christine Husbands, commercial director at RedArc, highlighted that “patients who have a long-term condition don’t always need support over the long term. With clinical support at appropriate moments during their condition, such as whilst waiting for a diagnosis and while coming to terms with their illness, those with long-term conditions can be helped by being given the tools to cope.”

“Support for long-term conditions is crucial. With support at the right time, a patient can feel able to live the best they can with their illness, which is the positive outcome employers and insurers should be striving for,” she added.
