"Celebrating our 25-year anniversary gives us a great opportunity to thank the partners we work with and look forward to the next quarter century."
- Christine Husbands, RedArc managing director
When RedArc was first established, the service provider supported people as part of the claim process for critical illness, with cancer, cardiac, and stroke making up 88% of the conditions they supported. Now, these three conditions combined make up just 29% with the company now offering much wider support for over 40 conditions.
In addition, RedArc regularly signposts to additional specialist support, including specialist counselling, second medical opinions, and practical help at home.
However, despite these extensive efforts, RedArc has issued a warning to insurers regarding the growing need for mental health support. The service providers noted that requests for support were virtually non-existent when the company was first set up. It now makes up 15% of its workload with the company setting up a department of registered mental health nurses to meet specific needs and increasing demand.
Commenting on these findings, Christine Husbands, RedArc managing director, has said:
“It’s a great testament to the quality of the support we provide when we’re appointed to provide help for people on behalf of other companies, be that an insurer, an association or an employer.
“It’s a win-win, as the majority (95%) of our clients say our support enhances their view of the insurer/hosting organisation, and it’s a relationship we take great care of.”
