When the partnership was first launched, Allianz employees across the UK were quick to sign up for various fundraising activities in support of Mind and their sister charity in Scotland, SAMH.

Jon Dye, previous Allianz UK chief executive, said it was “impressive to see what our employees are doing at such an early stage to support the work that Mind does to create resilience and help people stay mentally well.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing how the partnership will bring benefits to both organisations over the next three years, through our fundraising efforts to support Mind’s activity and expanding the mental wellbeing and resilience support we currently have in place for our people at Allianz,” Dye added.

Two years on, Allianz employees have run, walked, cycled, and baked their way to £700k in fundraising to support Mind’s work.

Allianz UK’s most recent fundraising event saw employees participating in the Three Peaks Challenge. This fundraising event saw employees climb Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike, and Snowdon in 24 hours. Sponsorships and donations resulted in £23,000 added to the firm’s £1m goal.

The money raised by Allianz UK will help fund Mind’s Whole School Approach, which supports the mental health and wellbeing of pupils, teachers, and everyone involved in school life.
