CEO Martin Werth announced that UnderwriteMe is integrating seven insurers in total, but hopes to have all insurers on board within 18 months.
The whole of market comparison tool gives protection quotes across life, critical illness and income protection products.
Martin Werth said:
"We are about to launch the very first digital protection platform, to transform protection forever. This will finally consign to history the need for advisers to second guess a quick quote, for advisers to hang on the phone to insurers for more accurate terms, for advisers to have to familiarise themselves with the idiosyncrasies of each insurer’s extranet and question set, and for advisers to face the shocks of unexpected price increases, or unpredictable delays.
"This is the start of the digital switch over, to give advisers and consumers an easy, fast and fair way to access the personal comparison information they need, at just the right moment, to make an informed decision, and to buy, regardless of device, or channel.
"Digital has transformed other industries, and will do the same in protection. Digital is the smart enabler, to make buying and selling so easy that advisers want to sell and consumers want to buy. It will deliver the rewarding experience necessary to engage new customers, new advisers, and new insurers, such as Canada Life, and to bring back previous advisers and insurers, such as OMW.
"Our digital platform delivers a genuinely simple and seamless journey, from quote to buy.
"Today we are at the beginning of the most positively disruptive and rewarding period that I have ever known, or probably will ever experience in protection.
"As soon as we have successfully tested the pilot, we commence our distributor rollout. The genie is out of the bottle, and is stirring up excitement amongst advisers, price comparison websites, banks and retailers. We are already in active discussions with many, and will be making further announcements in the weeks ahead."
