amii appoints vice chair to strengthen industry partnerships and professional standards across the sector

Today, the Association of Medical Insurers & Intermediaries (amii) has announced the appointment of Liam Kennedy, director of health key accounts at Vitality, as vice chair.

Liam Kennedy currently serves as director of health key accounts at Vitality, previously director of sales operations & adviser strategy, head of intermediated & corporate retention, and head of key accounts & corporate sales. 

In the past, he’s also worked as head of intermediated customer retention at PruHealth, and as a national sales manager at Standard Life UK.

Liam has sat on the Association of Medical Insurers & Intermediaries (amii) executive committee since 2021, playing a crucial role in various strategic initiatives such as the recently launched training academy.

As vice chair, he will focus on strengthening industry partnerships and advancing professional standards across the sector. 

“Having been involved with the association for several years, I know the incredible role it plays in our industry. I’m proud of our progress with the training academy and look forward to continuing to drive initiatives that support and develop our sector,” he said. 

Dave Middleton, executive chair of amii, added: “Liam’s appointment as vice chair is a natural progression given his outstanding contribution to amii over the years. With his extensive sector knowledge and leading role in developing our training academy, I’m confident Liam will excel in his new position.”
