Aviva’s fracture cover can be added to its Life Insurance+, Critical Illness+, Income Protection+, and Living Costs Protection – it’s sold via intermediaries and available at an additional cost.

At the moment, this benefit is available for eighteen types of bone fractures; Aviva has boosted payments for eleven fractures with seven fractures now eligible for the highest payment of £6k. Furthermore, new customers are also eligible for physiotherapy support in the event of a successful claim.

The provider believes this will provide customers with financial support during their recovery. Notably, the most common fracture claims are wrist (14%), hand (13%), arm (11%), and ankle (11%).

“Fracture cover can offer customers valuable financial support – especially for those unable to work. These increased payments can be used to help customers with the unexpected costs of such an injury, such as childcare, taxis, and travel to additional hospital appointments. This financial support allows customers to focus on their recovery,” said Jacqueline Kerwood, Claims Philosophy Manager at Aviva.
