The acquisition of HBSUK positively reflects on AXA Health’s commitment to providing industry-leading care to its Private Medical Insurance (PMI) members and deliver demonstratable value. HBSUK currently works with AXA to offer consistent, safe, and effective care in a timely manner. The insurer plans to build on this existing relationship and accelerate the evolution of online muscle, bone, and joint services to achieve higher levels of member satisfaction.
HBSUK also provides additional services to support the NHS, such as out-of-hours on-site medical and clinical services to improve service capacity. HBSUK is an approved NHS England provider and plays a vital role in reducing waiting times for medical treatment.
Tara Foley, CEO of AXA UK & Ireland, said she’s delighted to welcome HBSUK colleagues to AXA and is looking forward to working together to continue improving healthcare services for private and NHS patients. “This exciting step forward demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting people’s health and getting members faster access to the care they need when they need it,” she explained.
“We’re delighted to join AXA as together we can accelerate the development of our services and support patients in receiving faster access to healthcare,” said Dave Mezher, CEO of HBSUK, “I’m confident that together we’ll be able to improve health outcomes.”
