Emma Watkins to succeed Lindsey Rix-Broom as UK CEO of Canada Life

Canada Life has today announced the appointment of Emma Watkins as UK CEO, succeeding Lindsey Rix-Broom.

Prior to this appointment, Emma Watkins (pictured) served as managing director for retirement & longstanding at Scottish Widows.

In the past, she’s also worked as head of buy-out business development at Lan Clark & Peacock LLP, director of business development at MetLife Assurance Ltd, and administration manager at Prudential Assurance. 

Emma succeeds Lindsey Rix-Broom, who will continue to lead Canada Life UK alongside her role as CEO, Europe at Great-West Lifeco, until she assumes the position. 

This appointment is effective from September 2025, subject to regulatory approval.
