"When you consider the menopause impacts 13 million women in the UK at any one time, it’s so important that employers provide the necessary support."
- Sian Musial, regional training manager at Just Mortgages

This new module is available at any time through the Just Mortgage’s ‘My Learning Space’. This is a digital platform available to all members of staff. It will look at the menopause, the impact it can have and the support that is available to those going through menopause as well as their partners.

This enhancement of ‘My Learning Space’ strengthens existing support available to both employed and self-employed brokers as well as employees through the respective assistance programs. These programmes provide staff with a confidential service to access health and wellbeing support in partnership with Health Assured.

Alongside this new addition, Just Mortgages’ digital platform offers twenty-three modules including anxiety, stress, and depression. This wellbeing approach has been developed in-house, spearheaded by Sian Musial, an experienced trainer and mental health first aider.

Commenting on the launch, Sian Musial, regional training manager at Just Mortgages, has said:

“When you consider the menopause impacts 13 million women in the UK at any one time, it’s so important that employers provide the necessary support. That is especially true with something that is a natural part of the course of life and yet is so often underserved and unfairly seen as taboo.

“Through the training, we’re able to take a candid look at the menopause, explore the symptoms and break down the barriers and misconceptions that surround it. Most importantly, we can highlight the wealth of support available to help those experiencing this life event, as well as for partners in helping the women in their life. I’m so proud to launch this new module and to already hear positive feedback from across the business.”

Rodney Sloan, head of learning and development at Just Mortgages, added:

“It’s fantastic to be in the position where everyone through the door at Just Mortgages receives comprehensive wellbeing training, as well as a resource of online modules that is ever-growing and available 24/7. The aim is to give brokers and staff the tools to nurture their own wellbeing, all while giving our business principals, managers and leadership the skills to recognise needs within their own teams.

“As the market continues to present challenges for brokers, we’ve been really encouraged by increasing appetite and engagement with both the learning and development programme and the health and wellbeing support that is available.”
