"I’m grateful for the opportunity to stay involved with the new build division and to continue driving forward that side of the business."
- John Doughty, managing director at Just Mortgages

Prior to this promotion, John Doughty served as Just Mortgage’s financial services director where, alongside Paul Wilson, he successfully tripled broker numbers over a four-year tenure. With over two decades of experience across estate agency, mortgages, and financial services, Doughty will now support staff – including 60 brokers in the chapter and other personnel across the Spicerhaart estate agency chains – with accessing high-level training and mentoring. He will also be responsible for exploring progression opportunities.

Alongside these duties, Doughty will continue his involvement in Just Mortgages New Build.

Commenting on this appointment, John Phillips, national operations director at Just Mortgages has said:

“Alongside Paul Wilson, John Doughty has done an excellent job in scaling our new build division, assembling a tremendous team of brokers and forging successful partnerships with developers, housing associations, trade bodies and scheme providers all across the country. His skills and experience will be a real asset as our employed division and the wider business continues to reach new heights.”

John Doughty, managing director at Just Mortgages, added:

“I’m thrilled to be taking this next step in my career with Just Mortgages and taking on a more strategic role in the employed division. Having stood in their shoes, the role provides an exciting opportunity to utilise my experience and expertise to help our talented brokers develop and succeed. It’s also a great chance to return to my roots and work closely with the estate agency side of the business.”
