The Association of British Insurers’ (ABI) Board provides strategic direction for the trade association’s ongoing work and is chaired by Baroness Nicky Morgan. With immediate effect, Mark Till, CEO of Unum UK, will replace Alex Perry, CEO of Nuffield Health, on the ABI Board.

He will also take on the role of Chair for the ABI’s Health & Protection Committee, which forms an integral part of the trade association’s health and protection policy development processes. Mark will steer the group’s discussions on policy as the industry seeks to engage with the new government and demonstrate how the sector can support productivity in the UK.

Mark joined Unum UK as CEO in February 2021, moving from Aegon where he served as Managing Director for over five years. In the past, Mark has held positions at Zurich Insurance, Fidelity International, Standard Life, and Barclays Bank.

“As an industry, there is great opportunity to work together in supporting people’s health and ensuring we have a world-leading sector with transparent and accessible products & services for all. Access to health and protection cover brings enormous benefits to individuals and their families, not to mention the wider economy,” he said.

Baroness Nicky Morgan, Chair of the ABI Board, added: “I’m so pleased to have Mark join the ABI’s Board. Mark’s experience and knowledge of the industry – and the health & protection market – will be hugely valuable as we forge ahead with our mission to support the health and financial resilience of this country.”
