Chris Pond appointed Chair of Fairer Finance’s Consumer Advisory Board

Fairer Finance has announced the appointment of Chris Pond as Chair of its Consumer Advisory Board (CAB).

Alongside this appointment, Chris Pond serves as Chair for TrustMark, the Financial Inclusion Commission, Lending Standards Board, and Equity Release Council. He also works as a Trustee of the Family and Childcare Trust and Non-Executive Director (NED) at Cape Claims Services Ltd.  

In the past, Chris was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gravesham, during which time he held roles as Work & Pensions Minister and Ministerial Aide in the Treasury.

Fairer Finance’s Consumer Advisory Board plays a critical role in overseeing the consumer group’s activities, scrutinising its commercial relationships, research, ratings, campaigns, and media commentary to uphold transparency & independence.

Sue Lewis has served as its Chair for the last couple of years and is set to remain on the board until her term ends in 2025. After six years, Laurie Edmans is leaving the Board; Walter Merricks OBE, Caroline Barr, and Helene Brichet will remain as board members.
