"I’m looking forward to playing my part in providing outstanding experiences for customers, advisers and, also, for Royal London colleagues."
- Peter Josse, incoming Group Chief Operating Officer at Royal London

Royal London has appointed Peter Josse as Group Chief Operating Officer, set to takeover on the 4th March 2024. Prior to this appointment Peter served as Chief Information Officer at Barclays Bank plc for over five years. Since 1990, he’s held a range of senior leadership roles across operation, change management, and technology.

Peter will report to Barry O’Dwyer, Group CEO of Royal London, who believes that having someone of Peter’s calibre and track record joining Royal London “demonstrates our ambition.” Having delivered multiple transformation programmes in recent years, Royal London is committed to modernising its capacities to allow customers and advisers to engage efficiently and seamlessly.

“Peter brings passion for using technology to provide outstanding digital experiences and a vision for delivering great customer outcomes; we’re delighted to be welcoming him to the Royal London team,” he added.

Peter Josse, incoming Group Chief Operating Officer, said Royal London’s customer-owned status was a big draw; “being able to focus on delivering long-term value solely in the interests of our customers was an incredibly exciting prospect.”
