Prior to this appointment, Sonya Bryson served as Commercial Managing Director at Direct Line Group. In the past, she has also worked as Managing Director at NIG Commercial, Tribe Lead at Direct Line for Business, and Business Operations Manager at Arista Insurance.
In her new role, Sonya will have full strategic responsibility for the performance of RSA’s commercial lines business in the UK – including NIG & FarmWeb. She replaces Lee Mooney who is set to leave the business after an orderly transition.
This appointment is subject to regulatory approval, effective from May 2024 onwards.
Ken Norgrove, CEO of RSA Insurance, said this is a “transformational year for RSA as we complete the integration of NIG which will take us to No.3 in the market.” He believes that, in Sonya, “we have the right person to lead the transition and the newly focused RSA, building on her proven record of success with NIG.”
