RSA appoints new head of financial risks

RSA Insurance has announced the appointment of Matt Houghton as head of financial risks in its mid-market, commercial lines business, subject to regulatory approval.

Prior to this appointment, Matt Houghton served as specialty lines underwriting manager at Aviva where he joined in 2017 after working at CNA and Chubb as a financial lines underwriter. Overall, Houghton has over fifteen years of experience in Financial Services.

In his new role, Houghton will manage the business’ financial risks portfolio, which is part of the Professional & Financial Risks team (ProFin). He will report to Jo Darkins, director of ProFin at RSA Insurance.

Commenting on the appointment, Jo Darkins, director of ProFin at RSA Insurance, has said:
