Simplybiz has signed a new partnership agreement with Shepherds Friendly. Under the terms agreed, Shepherds Friendly’s Income Protection (IP) will now be available to its members.
The friendly society has various niche IP product features, including its ‘Simply Income Protection’ plan underwritten on a moratorium basis, and never offered with a loaded premium for any reason.
“We’re always looking for new ways to help our members access the most suitable products to meet their customers’ needs, and our strengthened relationships with Shepherds Friendly do just that.
“Shepherds Friendly offers a fantastic range of innovative and niche IP products, designed to deliver better outcomes to as many customers as possible – an aim which aligns with our own,” said Emma Vaughan, head of protection & health solutions at Simplybiz (pictured).
Phil Nash, chief sales officer at Shepherds Friendly, added: “We’re pleased to have entered this agreement with Simplybiz as, like our own organisation, it has ambitious plans to grow its market share further. As a friendly society, one of our core goals is to improve consumers’ access to products and enhance their financial resilience.
“By giving more intermediaries access to our unique product range, we believe we’re increasingly delivering on this goal. We know that those with pre-existing conditions and in younger age brackets are typically underinsured on the IP front; we hope that by expanding access to products tailored to these people, we can start to change this.”
