"It’s fantastic to see The Exeter bringing even greater choice to the thousands of advisers who rely on The Exchange to source the best protection cover for their customers."
- Jacqueline Durbin, head of product (sourcing) at Iress

The Exeter’s ‘Real Life’ product has been added to Iress’ The Exchange. Advisers can get quotes for this product as a standalone or part of a multi-benefit application.

The mutual’s Real Life product joins its ‘Income First’ Income Protection (IP) offering on The Exchange’s single, multi-benefit or multi-policy services, which enable advisers to generate quotes that meet customer needs.

Jacqueline Durbin, head of product (sourcing) at Iress, highlighted that with increasingly complex needs of customers, particularly those with pre-existing conditions, “this is a timely and valuable addition – helping advisers deliver more comprehensive, tailored protection solutions with greater ease and efficiency.”

She said: “It’s fantastic to see The Exeter bringing even greater choice to the thousands of advisers who rely on The Exchange to source the best protection cover for their customers.”

Jack Southcott, head of protection proposition at The Exeter, added: “We have made a number of enhancements to the product, including the option for customers to apply on a dual or joint life basis, and the introduction of beneficiary nomination. We’re excited by these developments and look forward to seeing how they are received.”

The Exeter announced enhancements to its protection proposition, alongside the launch of its new multi-benefit application system, in March 2025.
