"I’m honoured to be given the opportunity to join the brilliant team at Vitality."
- Dr Arun Thiyagarajan, incoming Managing Director at VitalityHealth

Prior to this appointment, Dr Arun Thiyagarajan served as Global Healthcare Transformation Director at Bupa, after various promotions from Deputy Responsible Officer. In this role, he’s been instrumental in the development of their organisational and healthcare strategy across all markets, with responsibility for digital transformation strategy, platforms, and healthcare pathways.

In the past, he’s also worked as Director of Hedena Health and has several years of experience with the NHS and medical charities. In his spare time, Arun works as a Non-Executive Director for the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Arun will succeed Dr Keith Klintworth who’s retiring from this role at the start of next year – continuing in a consultancy role for Vitality.

“Vitality really delivers on its mission of making people healthier and enhancing and protecting their lives. Its shared value insurance model is hugely compelling and one that I’m incredibly excited to help grow and build into the future,” he said.

Neville Koopowitz, CEO of Vitality, added: “We’re pleased to welcome Arun to VitalityHealth. The business has seen sustained growth in recent years and is at the forefront of Private Medical Insurance (PMI) provision, with an emphasis on prevention, alongside primary and secondary care.”

He said: “Arun brings a wealth of healthcare and medical experience with him, both of which will be highly relevant as we continue to evolve our offering to even more people.

“Having joined us over 14 years ago, Keith’s achievements include many developments and improvements to member experience, pioneering digital healthcare in the UK private medical insurance market and introducing primary care services to our members,” Neville concluded.
