"With the enhanced MyHealthCounts, we’re not only offering more insight and guidance, but also rewarding customers who engage with the platform. "

Aviva’s ‘Healthier Solutions’ product includes inpatient, day patient, and outpatient cover within its core benefits. Specialist-referred treatment by a physiotherapist, osteopath or chiropractor is also available, alongside some outpatient mental health treatment.

Today, Aviva has announced enhancements to its ‘MyHealthCounts’ benefit, available to Healthier Solutions policyholders, including upgraded digital health & wellbeing tools.

In addition to cardiovascular health, policyholders now have access to health risk assessments for six types of cancer, diabetes, lung conditions, and dementia. They can also connect a health or fitness app to track personal health progress.

After 24 months of using this enhanced benefit, they can earn towards their overall discount by logging progress towards personal health goals, while receiving personalised support based on the information they provide.

These enhancements are available to Healthier Solutions policies starting or renewing from the 14th July 2025; existing policyholders will have access at their next renewal.

Aviva prices aspects of this policy separately, including outpatient cover and policy excess. Discounts won’t always impact the premium for each cover option in the same way.

“We know that when people are supported in understanding and improving their health, they’re more likely to take positive action. With the enhanced MyHealthCounts, we’re not only offering more insight and guidance, but also rewarding customers who engage with the platform.

“By completing health assessments, syncing their fitness data, and tracking their progress, customers can earn up to 15% off their renewal premium – recognising their commitment to better health,” said Lisa Bartlett, head of health propositions at Aviva UK Health.
