"Adding BMI criteria to The Exchange gives the industry a wholly transparent and trusted way to source and consider National Friendly’s products."
- Jacqueline Durbin, Global Head of Product for Life & Pensions & Mortgages at Iress

National Friendy lists short-term and Accident-Only Income Protection (AOIP) products on Iress’ sourcing platform, The Exchange. Iress’ Body Mass Index (BMI) questions on its IP quote & apply service give advisers greater price certainty by factoring in height and weight as part of their quoting process.

“We have made several enhancements to our IP proposition, including shortening our application journey, adding optional fracture cover, and launching level premiums. These improvements and adding BMI quote functionality on Iress will help advisers deliver a better service and offer more choice to their customers,” explained Gifford Clay, Head of Intermediary Sales at National Friendly.

Jacqueline Durbin, Global Head of Product for Life & Pensions & Mortgages at Iress, added: “We’re pleased to support National Friendly with this initiative. We want to make it as easy as possible for all parties to work together and deliver the most appropriate products to their customers.

“Adding BMI criteria to The Exchange gives the industry a wholly transparent and trusted way to source and consider National Friendly’s products. It’s good news for everyone,” she concluded.
