Shepherds Friendly appoints first-ever chief change officer

Today, Shepherds Friendly has announced the strategic appointment of Michael Williams as its first-ever chief change officer, reflecting the society’s commitment to modernising its platform and product offering.

Prior to this appointment, Michael Williams (pictured) served as portfolio, programme & project lead at Schroders Personal Wealth. In the past, he’s also worked as a senior manager at PwC, delivering projects across various industries with clients ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations. 

In his new role, Michael will lead key transformation initiatives, ensuring outcomes align with the society’s business plans. “I look forward to working with teams across the society to determine which initiatives are best aligned with its strategy and provide the best value to members, then delivering on these with integrity,” he said. 

This appointment follows Shepherds Friendly’s recent partnership agreement with Simplybiz as part of its strategy to grow its intermediary footprint. Under the terms agreed, Shepherds Friendly’s Income Protection (IP) will now be available to its members.
