"I am very confident that [Penny Seach] will continue to successfully drive underwriting performance and ensure consistency across markets."
- Sierra Signorelli, Zurich chief executive of commercial insurance
Penny Seach will succeed current CUP Hayley Robinson, who is stepping down at the end of the year for family health reasons. She had held the role since June last year.
Sierra Signorelli, Zurich chief executive of commercial insurance, noted that Seach was a “very experienced and capable successor for this role,” having more than twenty-five years of industry experience – several of years in which she’s been working at Zurich.
Signorelli recognised Seach’s promotion as a testament to Zurich’s “strong internal talent pool,” further commenting on her successful work with EMEA underwriting business where she strengthened the team and further advanced alignment with the group’s strategy and governance.
Hayley Robinson will continue in the role until the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition.
Commenting on Robinson’s departure from Zurich, Signorelli has said:
“I would like to thank Hayley for her immense contribution to Zurich and the underwriting business since she joined the group in 2018.
“She has been a tremendous asset to the commercial insurance team and a highly valued and respected colleague. I was saddened to hear of Hayley’s personal circumstances and her decision to step down from her role. I wish her and her family the very best for the future.”
