[Updated] Reassured reports 34% year-on-year increase in the amount paid by its panel to life & CI customers

Last year, Reassured’s panel paid 2,618 (£66,847,478) Life Insurance and Critical Illness (CI) claims – this is 112% higher than in 2023.

Reassured’s panel paid £66,847,478 in Life Insurance and Critical Illness (CI) claims in 2024. This represents a 34% year-on-year increase in the amount paid to customers who’ve successfully claimed on their protection policy in the last twelve months. 

£49,199,510 (2,301) was paid in Life Insurance claims, £5,492,460 (144) in CI, and £12,155,508 (173) in Terminal Illness claims.

Protection Reporter requested how many claims were rejected, but Reassured was not able to provide figures.   

In 2023, Reassured’s panel paid 1,235 claims - equating to over £50mn in claims. This year’s figure sits almost £17mn higher, financially supporting over 2.5k families.

Legal & General (L&G), Zurich Insurance, LV=, Aviva, MetLife UK, Vitality, and OneFamily sit on Reassured's insurer panel.
